For most of us, our nervous systems don’t actually need “healing”—they’re not broken. Instead, they’re incredibly adaptable, designed to keep us safe moment by moment. But here’s the catch: our nervous systems don’t differentiate between physical and emotional threats, which makes it essential to cultivate emotional intelligence and body awareness. These are the keys to understanding the signals our nervous systems send, allowing us to respond consciously rather than being swept into automatic, often limiting, responses.
Why I’m Here…
Life has a way of chiseling us into form, often through the fires we never imagined enduring. For me, it has been through the deep, often unbearable adversity—through a life lived intimately with grief, loss, and profound change—that I found my path.
When I speak of loss, I mean the kind that reshapes everything. I lost my brother and, not long after, my twin girls, born prematurely. And while grief was ever-present, I was also facing my own battle with cystic fibrosis, a condition that shaped my life in ways I didn’t always understand until I began to deeply connect with my body and nervous system.
