Mama’s,

Now that you’ve had time to reclaim radical rest, it’s time to harness that sixth sense!

That navigation system inside of you that is just as real and pertinent as the other senses (and I’d argue even more important, actually).

Energy as an undeniable variable in the way that we experience and perceive the world is old news now. If your someone who needs to lean on more science-based evidence in order to strengthen this Knowing, then it’s time to lean in (because there’s lots of evidence out there!).

Harnessing this sixth sense will be yours and your families greatest companion.

My most potent intellectual energetics revelations have been through Quantum physics and better understanding the social nervous system (ventral vagal nerve). My most potent form of experiential evidence has been through aura dowsing, menstrual and moon syncing, Jikiden reiki and energetic preparations for more unified intimacy and pleasure.

So, in lieu of my mission to guide you through this dark season with even more robust wellness, it’s imperative that we develop the skills to bare witness to our inner unseen world and then embrace, or guide our children, back into connection with theirs.

It is through this form of self exploration that we will foster a more steady connection to our sixth sense.

Now, there really is so much to this - so many myths to debunk, so many beliefs to rewrite and most of all so much misunderstanding about what the intuition (or what I call Knowing) is, what impacts it, and how it raises it’s voice.

So it is my goal to guide you to a place of Knowing so that you can:

  • make decisions that are more deeply aligned

  • lean into love over fear (women so often think that fear is the voice of their intuition)

  • feel more confident in your truth

  • be more genuine in your relations (instead of unconsciously operating from the survival strategies that often lead to people-pleasing, Self-forget and resentment etc.)

  • turn down the worlds noise for you and your family

  • bio-individually feed, move and fuel yourself and your family

  • have a greater sense of the whole and feel more connected to it

  • And most importantly — trust yourself

So today, I am sharing a foundational skill, that I believe is very necessary, in order to thrive these days. I’m sharing this with you now, knowing full well, that the more that we embrace (and revere) our Knowing, the more likely we will be to prioritize the rest that we need.

Interoception - one of the few crucial building blocks to reconnect you and your littles to your sixth sense

I’ve got a short video for you today! 

Interoception is a lesser-known sense that helps you understand and feel what's going on inside your body. When we and our littles struggle with our interoceptive sense, we’ll likely have trouble knowing when we feel hungry, full, hot, cold, stressed, unsafe, thirsty etc.

And when we have trouble with listening to our biological needs, we most definitely struggle with knowing our deeper needs.

So this skill, amidst a few others, is the foundation for reconnecting to yours, and your bodies, innate brilliance.

{Without interoception we are not able to truly self-regulate; therefore, self governance and being our own medicine becomes a distant reality for ourselves and our kids}.

FOOD AS MEDICINE

 

Powerful Immune Boosting Tea

There is something so satisfying about buying earth’s medicine in this way and then putting together your own concoction (and even more so, growing and harvesting our own earth medicine - now that’s a dream!). 

This simple recipe is a powerful immune boosting blend to keep you and your pack rooted in more strength during this transition into the dark season. A time when we can no longer lean on and abundance of natural Vitamin D and Mother Earth’s greenery to work it’s viral and bacterial magic.

*Remember to check in with your herbalist, and/or practitioner if you have any chronic conditions and/or you’re pregnant or breastfeeding. 

When it comes to herbs and kiddos, see the chart below. But again, please check in with your herbalist - I’m just here as a guide. 

For every 1 cup (8 oz.) of tea, the following is recommended for children:

Age — Dosage

1-2 years — 1/2 to 1 teaspoon

2 to 4 years — 2 teaspoons

4 to 7 years — 1 tablespoon

7 to 11 years — 2 tablespoons

Recipe:

4 tbsp dried elderberries

4 tbsp dried rose hips

4 tbsp echinacea root

4 tbsp astragalus

4 tbsp dried ginger

Combine all herbs in a small jar. Stir until evenly distributed.

  • Combine 1-2 tbsp herbal tea blend per 1-cup water in a small pot. Simmer 30 minutes. Strain and enjoy hot!

  • If you’d like to substitute fresh ginger for dried then go ahead — just add it when you’re actually preparing the tea!

When purchasing herbs I recommend buying the mid range size (for example 227g from Harmonic Arts), so that you can multiply the recipe and add into a large mason jar to store (make sure it’s stowed away from direct light).

Self Inquiry

With conviction, head to the mirror and look yourself in the eyes to ask yourself these questions: 

  • for many people speaking to yourself with “you” instead of “I” is very helpful to excavate the truth — just do what is most potent for you (and notice, like anything, that it could change day to day).

Are you tired?

Have I allowed you to rest - like truly rest?

Have I been honouring your deeper needs?

What do you need {insert name}?

Allow yourself to spill with whatever erupts and then witness yourself compassionately mothering yourself.

Listen for what comes through in the questions without judging the smallness, or peculiarness of the responses that come to you whether it’s audibly, clairvoyantly etc). Follow the answers by following through when you’re ready!

Your deeper self just needs your attention - so at this point use this exercise to practice mothering your soul.

Repeat this time and time again, until you feel a sensory shift through an elevated state in the wake of showing up for your deeper Self.
